Owosso monthly brush pickup runs through Sept. 23 — here's how it works
Crews sweep the whole city starting the last Wednesday of each month. Curb your brush by 7 a.m., keep it under 8 feet, and don't put it out before the Sunday prior.
Owosso's citywide brush pickup began Wednesday, July 29 and continues on the last Wednesday of each month through Sept. 23, 2026, the city announced. No registration call is needed — DPW crews cover the entire city, recording each street as it's completed, and won't make return trips once a street is done.
The rules, per the city: brush at the curb by 7 a.m. on pickup day; no piles out earlier than the Sunday evening before pickup week (tickets may be issued); branches no larger than 3 inches in diameter and no longer than 8 feet.
Residents can also use the city's leaf and brush drop-off site on Aiken Road just south of Industrial Drive, open Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through the end of leaf season. Grass clippings are accepted there. The service is for city residents only, with proof of residency required.
What happens next: Remaining pickups start the last Wednesday of August and September — Aug. 26 and Sept. 23.
