Owosso's Memorial Healthcare names hospice nurse April employee of month

Memorial Healthcare in Owosso has named Sheila Austin, a registered nurse in the hospital's hospice department, as its April 2026 Employee of the Month, according to an announcement posted to the hospital's newsroom on June 11, 2026.

Austin has worked for Memorial Healthcare since November 2024, the announcement said.

The hospital quoted her nomination, which said Austin "operated during several unusually busy and demanding weeks all while staying calm, professional, and positive." The nomination said she "ensured care was delivered thoroughly and compassionately, helping patients and families feel supported during stressful times."

The nomination also said Austin "consistently goes above and beyond to meet patient needs promptly and with compassion" and that "her kindness, professionalism, and dedication make her a strong role model and positively reflects the values of the organization."

Memorial Healthcare's main campus is at 826 W. King St. in Owosso.
