Memorial Healthcare adds neuroscience physician assistant in Owosso
The Owosso hospital said Nasima Omar, PA-C, has joined the active medical staff at its Institute for Neuroscience and will see patients in Owosso and Okemos.
Memorial Healthcare has added a physician assistant to the medical staff at its Institute for Neuroscience, the Owosso hospital announced Tuesday, Aug. 18, in a post on its newsroom page.
The hospital said Nasima Omar, PA-C, joins the active medical staff at the Memorial Healthcare Institute for Neuroscience and will provide care at both the Owosso and Okemos locations.
According to the announcement, Omar joins the institute's multidisciplinary team providing neurological and neurosurgical care, working with the hospital's physicians and care team to evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide education and maintain continuity of care for patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
Omar earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, the hospital said.
Memorial Healthcare describes the addition as part of its "growing neuroscience program." The announcement is titled as welcoming a headache specialist to the institute; the text of the announcement does not describe a specific clinical focus beyond neurological and neurosurgical care.
