Five street closures coming for Owosso's late-summer event season
Moonlight Market, a memorial 5K, Vintage Motorcycle Days, the Now & Wow Market and the Walk to End Alzheimer's all got their traffic orders — here's when and where the streets close.
The Owosso City Council approved traffic control orders for five community events at its July 20 and Aug. 3 meetings. What's closing, and when:
Moonlight Market — Thursday, Aug. 13, 2-10 p.m. Curwood Castle Drive closes from the Shiawassee Arts Center to the first driveway west of Curwood Castle, with a lane left open for apartment access.
PFC Cantu 5K — Aug. 20, 7 a.m.-1 p.m. The route closure runs Mason Street to Gould to North to Ball to King to Park streets, ending at the American Legion post.
Vintage Motorcycle Days — Saturday, Aug. 29, 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Washington Street closes from Main Street to Water Street/Jerome Avenue, along with Main Street Plaza and Comstock Street from Water to Park, per the request from Owosso Main Street DDA Executive Director Lizzie Fredrick.
Now & Wow Market — Friday, Sept. 25, 2-9 p.m. Ball Street closes between W. Mason and Main streets, per the request from Nellies Smell Goods LLC.
3rd Annual Shiawassee Walk to End Alzheimer's — Saturday, Oct. 3, 9:30-11 a.m. Ada Street closes from the Memorial Healthcare parking lot north to the dead end.
