Monday night is the busy one. Four public boards meet at the same time across the county — Corunna Council, Corunna Schools, Ovid-Elsie Schools and Owosso Council — and between them they are handling a cell phone policy, a parks plan, a censure fight and a round of cleanup bills headed to property owners.

In Owosso, the council has a hearing on nuisance cleanup charges being billed back to the owners of the properties the city cleaned up, as The Current reported last week. Corunna's council has a 7:10 p.m. hearing on its parks plan and a traffic order that had not been posted with the agenda, and the council has already said it will not meet Nov. 2. Corunna Schools takes its final vote on the student cell phone policy. At Ovid-Elsie, the board returns to the censure question and whether to release an attorney's letter.

Chesaning Council meets Tuesday with the data center ban and a $645,000 contract with OHM in front of it — the single biggest dollar figure on any county agenda this week. New Lothrop Schools meets Wednesday. Start times are not listed in the county calendar for most of these; check the posted agenda for the board you want.

Volleyball fills Tuesday: Chesaning at Byron, Mt. Morris at Durand, New Lothrop at Birch Run and Potterville at Perry. Laingsburg plays at Dansville Wednesday. Thursday brings Ovid-Elsie at Calvary Baptist Academy, Bentley at Morrice and Byron at Mt. Morris. Laingsburg and Perry both play at Potterville on Saturday.

All nine county football teams play Friday, Oct. 23. Kickoff times again were not supplied — the desk has asked for them week after week since August and still does not have them, so plan on arriving early until a school posts otherwise.
