Laingsburg football opens 2026 season at home Aug. 27 vs. Vandercook Lake

Laingsburg's 2026 football season begins Thursday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m. at home against Vandercook Lake, according to the verified schedule compiled by The Shiawassee Current sports desk.
The schedule lists nine games in 11-player football: four at home and five on the road. Every game on the slate is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
After the home opener, Laingsburg plays four straight away games — Thursday, Sept. 3 at Kelloggsville, Friday, Sept. 11 at Fowler, Friday, Sept. 18 at Saranac and Friday, Sept. 25 at Pewamo-Westphalia.
The team then returns home for two in a row: Friday, Oct. 2 against Bath and Friday, Oct. 9 against Perry, the only in-county matchup on the schedule.
Laingsburg closes the regular season Friday, Oct. 16 at Michigan Lutheran Seminary and Friday, Oct. 23 at home against Carson City-Crystal.
