Corunna hosts Clio, Owosso plays twice in a 3-game county Wednesday

Three county teams are on the floor or the field tonight, and all three are playing opponents from outside Shiawassee County.

The only home game is in Corunna, where Clio visits for volleyball at 6:15 p.m. Corunna is 2-1 in games the score desk has logged this season.

Owosso is out twice. The Trojans' volleyball team plays at Lake Fenton at 6:15 p.m., and Owosso soccer is at Goodrich at 6:30 p.m. Both Owosso teams are 2-2 in logged games. The Current reported Tuesday that Owosso hosted Goodrich volleyball last week; tonight's Goodrich meeting is the soccer side of that pairing, on the road.

Records here come only from completed games our desk has logged and verified. They are not the schools' official season marks, which can differ, and the desk has asked county athletic departments for their own records.

The score desk is still owed a lot of results. Finals from Tuesday, Sept. 29's eight-game county slate — including Chesaning at Ovid-Elsie soccer, the Perry-Laingsburg doubleheader and Chesaning at New Lothrop volleyball — have not come back, and neither have the finals from Monday, Sept. 28's eight games. Seven of the eight county football games played Friday, Sept. 25 remain unverified, including Owosso at Corunna and Durand at Ovid-Elsie. Byron's Aug. 28 home football opener against Mesick has now gone unconfirmed for more than a month, which leaves Byron's logged record incomplete. Schools are the source for all of it.
