Byron village site posts 'Fall Festival' — no date, time or place
The Oct. 21 item on the Village of Byron's news page carries only the two-word headline, the second empty village post in eight days.
If you were looking to put a Byron fall festival on the calendar, the village's own website will not help you. A post dated Oct. 21, 2026 on the Village of Byron site is titled "Fall Festival" — and that is all it says. There is no date, no start time, no location, no list of what is happening and no contact for organizers.
The item is filed under "Uncategorized," the only post on the site in that category, rather than under Village News (23 posts) or Public Notices (24). It is credited to Z Design; the site footer credits Z-Solutions with the website's design and development.
This is the second time this month a Byron village post has gone up with nothing in it. The Current reported on Oct. 16 that the village's Oct. 13 "Habitat For Humanity" item under Village News also carried only its headline — no build address, no work dates, no way to sign up. The Habitat post still sits at the top of the site's Latest Posts list, above "Early Voting" and "Recycling Info."
We do not know whether a fall festival in Byron is being planned, scheduled, moved or canceled. The word "festival" in a village post in late October suggests something is intended, but nothing in the document establishes what, when or where — and we will not guess at it. Any date we printed would be invented.
Residents who want the details can reach the village directly. The Village of Byron offices are at 146 S. Saginaw St., the email listed on the site is [email protected], and the phone number is (810) 266-5090.
What happens next: if the village fills in the post — or publishes a flyer, a date or a road closure for the event — we will report the particulars. Until then, treat the headline on the village website as exactly what it is: a headline.
