Ovid-Elsie football opens 2026 season at home Aug. 27 vs. Tri County Area

Ovid-Elsie opens its 2026 football season at home on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m. against Tri County Area, according to the verified schedule compiled by The Shiawassee Current sports desk.
The schedule lists nine games in 11-player football: four at home and five on the road. Every kickoff on the slate is set for 7 p.m.
Three of the nine games are against other Shiawassee County programs. Ovid-Elsie hosts Durand on Friday, Sept. 25, travels to New Lothrop on Friday, Oct. 2, and hosts Chesaning on Friday, Oct. 16.
The full slate: Aug. 27 vs. Tri County Area; Sept. 3 at Birch Run; Sept. 11 at LakeVille Memorial; Sept. 18 vs. Mt. Morris; Sept. 25 vs. Durand; Oct. 2 at New Lothrop; Oct. 9 at Montrose; Oct. 16 vs. Chesaning; and Oct. 23 at Imlay City.
The Aug. 27 opener and the Sept. 3 game at Birch Run are both Thursday dates. The remaining seven games fall on Fridays.
