New Lothrop football opens 2026 season at home Aug. 27

New Lothrop's 2026 football season begins Thursday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m. at home against Muskegon Catholic Central, according to the verified schedule compiled by The Shiawassee Current sports desk.
The verified schedule lists nine games in 11-player football: five at home and four on the road.
Three of those games are against Shiawassee County opponents. New Lothrop hosts Durand on Thursday, Sept. 3, and Ovid-Elsie on Friday, Oct. 2, then travels to Chesaning on Friday, Oct. 9.
Every game on the schedule is set for a 7 p.m. start. The two Thursday dates are the Aug. 27 opener and the Sept. 3 game against Durand; the remaining seven games fall on Fridays.
