Chesaning commission reviews 709 W. Broad St. site plan tonight

Something is planned for 709 W. Broad St. in Chesaning, and the village planning commission is scheduled to review the site plan for it at 7 p.m. tonight at the village offices, 218 N. Front Street, Suite A.
What that something is, the village has not made public. The meeting packet posted by the Village of Chesaning lists a single item under new business — "709 W Broad St Site Plan Review" — and includes no application, no drawings and no applicant name. There is nothing in the packet that identifies the use proposed for the property, the owner, or a construction or opening timeline.
A site plan review is the step where a planning commission checks a proposed development against the village's zoning rules — parking, setbacks, drives, landscaping and the like — before work can proceed. The same packet contains the commission's July 28 minutes, which had not previously been reported and which cleared the way for a downtown business to open. The commission voted 6-0 that night to approve a parking requirement waiver for 135 N. Front St. after a public hearing. Commissioner Mishler said during the hearing that the business at that address was not open pending approval of the waiver, and Commissioner Seely-Navarre confirmed the building had passed all permit requirements. Commissioner Chludil confirmed the damaged part of the building was included in the parking request, and T. Ebenhoeh reviewed the parking requirements and explained the waiver process for the commission.
Voting yes on the waiver were Mishler, Parker, Seely-Navarre, Chair Danek, Chludil and Powell. Commissioner H. Ebenhoeh was absent. The July 28 meeting, which was the commission's first since April by the minutes' own record — the members approved the April 28 minutes that night — ran 16 minutes.
What happens next: the commission meets tonight at 7 p.m. in the village offices on North Front Street. If the West Broad Street site plan is approved, the applicant's name and the proposed use will become part of the public record; the village office at 218 N.
