Chesaning village council to take up $204,403.59 in bills, 2026 audit Aug. 18

The Chesaning Village Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 7:30 p.m., with $204,403.59 in accounts payable listed on its consent agenda, according to the regular council meeting agenda posted by the Village of Chesaning.
The consent agenda groups three items: approval of the consent agenda itself, approval of the regular meeting minutes from Aug. 4, 2026, and the 08/18/2026 accounts payable total of $204,403.59. No items are listed under "Receive and File."
The agenda explains that the consent agenda exists "to expedite business by grouping non-controversial items together to be dealt with by one Board motion (roll-call vote) without discussion." It states that any board member, staff member or member of the public may ask that an item be pulled from the consent agenda for discussion elsewhere on the regular agenda, and that "all such requests will be granted."
Under new business, the agenda lists one item for introduction and discussion: the AHP 2026 audit report. No items for action are listed, and unfinished business is listed as "None."
