New Haven Township board OKs second brine application on 46.12 miles of gravel road

The New Haven Township Board voted unanimously on June 18 to approve a second application of mineral well brine to 46.12 miles of gravel roads in the township, according to minutes signed by Clerk Colleen Horton.
Treasurer Eickholt made the motion and Trustee Gray supported it. The minutes record a roll call vote with "All Ayes." All five board members were present for the roll call taken by Horton: Supervisor DeLong, Treasurer Eickholt, Trustee Richardson, Trustee Gray and Horton.
The minutes do not list a cost for the second brine application or name a supplier.
The special meeting was held at New Haven Township Hall, 2705 Easton Road, Owosso. Supervisor DeLong called it to order at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. The minutes list three guests: Heather Wirwicki, Bruce Westerlund and Marjorie Westerlund.
