Owosso Speedway sets Sept. 26 Nationals card with CRA in Ovid
The track's event page lists Champion Racing Association cars plus Pure Stock, Modified and Outlaw Super Late Model classes for Day 2 of the Owosso Nationals — but no times, prices or entry list yet.
Owosso Speedway has posted the class lineup for Day 2 of the Owosso Nationals, and it puts a touring series on the card alongside three of the track's own divisions. The event page for Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7204 W. M-21 in Ovid lists CRA — Champion Racing Association — plus Pure Stock, Modified and Outlaw Super Late Model.
That is the news and, for now, close to all of it. The listing carries no gate time, no green flag time, no lap counts, no purse and no ticket prices. The page links to ticket and driver registration pages and to the event's MyRacePass listing, and says the program will be available on Track TV.
Champion Racing Association is a touring asphalt stock car organization that sanctions late model racing at short tracks across the Midwest. Its appearance means at least part of Sept. 26 will be run by drivers hauling in from outside the county, rather than the track's weekly regulars.
The listing is labeled Day 2, which means there is a Day 1. The track has not posted a matching page for it that the desk has seen, so the date and card for the first night of the Nationals are not yet confirmed.
It has been a full stretch of touring traffic on M-21 this month. The Current reported that the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour Michigan 300 was scheduled to take the green flag at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, after a Tuesday practice and qualifying draw, with no support divisions on the timetable. Before that, on Aug. 22, the track ran the Ron Hauser Memorial with a 100-lap Outlaw Super Late Model feature. The desk has not yet reported the winners of either program.

What happens next: we have asked for — and will publish — the Sept. 26 timetable, ticket and pit pass prices, the Day 1 date and card, and whether the CRA portion is a points race for the series. Entry lists for touring events at this track have typically not been posted alongside the schedule, so driver names may not be known until closer to race weekend.
