Keelan Harvick first entry for tonight's Michigan 300 at Owosso Speedway
The son of NASCAR Cup champion Kevin Harvick is confirmed for the 300-lap ASA STARS National Tour race in Ovid, with the front gate open at 3 p.m. and the green flag at 7:35 p.m.
Keelan Harvick — son of NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick — is the first confirmed entry for tonight's Michigan 300 at Owosso Speedway, the track says on its event page for the race.
That puts a nationally known racing surname on the 3/8-mile asphalt oval at 7204 W. M-21 in Ovid, on a Wednesday night, and there is still time to go. The pits opened at noon, the front gate opens at 3 p.m., and racing starts at 7:35 p.m. Fans who want to walk the pit area need a pit pass; the track warns that the pits are live and active during the event.
The Michigan 300 is a 300-lap feature for asphalt Super Late Models on the ASA STARS National Tour, a national touring series for that class. The track's event page lists 18 entries in the class for tonight and describes the race as a mid-week special.
Owosso Speedway says last year's Michigan 300 came down to the closing laps: Bubba Pollard avoided a wreck among the leaders on lap 297, then took the lead on a restart with three laps to go to win. The track's page says Harvick "turned heads at Owosso in 2025" and will be chasing his first Michigan 300 win.
Beyond the name at the top of the entry list, the track has not posted a full field. As of the event page, the only driver identified by name for tonight is Harvick, and neither general admission nor pit pass prices appear on the listing. The tour's own schedule of events for the weekend runs back to Tuesday, when credentialing and hauler parking began.
Tonight is the second special the track has put on this month and the start of a busy stretch. The Current reported the Ron Hauser Memorial ran Aug. 22 with a 100-lap Outlaw Super Late Model feature, and the track's own championship nights — with points titles on the line in Late Model Sportsman, Pure Stocks, Trucks and the wedge/dwarf class — begin Saturday, Aug. 29, with gates at 4 p.m. and racing at 6. Day 2 of the Owosso Nationals, with Champion Racing Association cars, is set for Sept. 26.
