Ovid-Elsie at New Lothrop leads 7 county games; Durand at Byron too
Two of tonight's seven Shiawassee County games are county-vs-county volleyball matches, both starting at 6:45 p.m., with New Lothrop unbeaten at 2-0.

New Lothrop's volleyball team is 2-0 and hosts Ovid-Elsie at 6:45 tonight, the headline match on a seven-game county schedule. Ovid-Elsie comes in at 0-2.
It is one of two all-county matchups on the board, both at 6:45. Durand, 1-1, plays at Byron in the night's other in-county game.
The rest of the slate starts early. Chesaning's soccer team, 1-0, plays at Birch Run at 5:30 p.m. Lakeville visits Ovid-Elsie for soccer at 6 p.m., with the Marauders 0-2. Morrice volleyball, 1-1, is at Atherton at 6:30. Montrose plays volleyball at Chesaning at 6:45, where Chesaning is 1-0. The last start of the night is soccer, Montrose at Durand at 7 p.m.
Records here come from games this desk has logged and confirmed. Several county teams still do not have complete ones, because finals have not come back. The Current has been asking since Aug. 28 for the Mesick at Byron football result, and for the 11 finals from Sept. 3 and the eight from Sept. 2 — including the volleyball quad Ovid-Elsie hosted in Elsie. Where a team has no record listed above, that is why.
